This Privacy Policy explains what information the Vine app ("Vine", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Vine you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in, we collect your email address and store a hashed sign-in code and session token. We never store passwords because Vine does not use them.
• Subscription information. Purchases are processed by Apple. We receive a purchase receipt and subscription status from Apple to determine your access. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
• Content you submit. When you search wines or use pairing, recipe, or quality features, the wine, food, or chemistry values you enter are processed to generate a result.
• Technical data. Basic request data (such as timestamps and error logs) needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use your information

• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To verify your subscription and provide the features you pay for.
• To generate wine insights, food pairings, and recipes you request.
• To operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed with:

• Apple, to process subscriptions and confirm your entitlement.
• Service providersthat host our servers and database, deliver sign-in emails, and perform AI processing of the content you submit — solely to provide the app's features on our behalf.
• Legal reasons, if required to comply with law or protect our rights and users.

Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Sign-in codes expire within minutes and sessions expire over time. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

Your choices

• You can request access to or deletion of your account data by emailing us.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings on your device.

Children

Vine is intended for adults of legal drinking age and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
